Typically, Reed didn’t like to take breaks. It was always work, work, work… Science, science, science… Heroism, heroism, heroism… It wasn’t a shock that he was a wee bit drained. After a lot of contemplation and even more convincing, he was packing for a several week-long cruise.
As soon as he stepped onto the deck, he knew he was going to regret this. He was allowed to bring the essentials: toiletries, clothes, snacks, swim gear, protection from the sun like sunglasses and sunscreen, and various hair and facial products — but no work. He was miserable, but he tried to make the most of it. After all, the cruise ship was huge and there were a lot of activities to do. Swimming, card/board games, mini golf, restaurants — okay, enough lists.
It was time to sit back and relax.
