The two sides of him compete together while he glares down at the bear trap clamped down around his ankle, the sharp maw of it digging deep into his black fur, blood matting it down.

The wolf side of him wanted to run, and the man side of him knew it was a stupid idea.. yet, now he curses himself internally for relenting to the wolf, transforming and going for a run through the forest. He'd seen them, the hunter who'd moved into the surrounding area a month back, and up until now he's been doing his damnedest to avoid them.

But he knows it's wistful thinking when he hears your boots crunching through the forest, his large, wolf head lifting to quietly growl under his breath when the human comes through the thicket; their rifle strung over a shoulder. His hackles raise when they step too close, looking ready to pounce at you at any given moment despite the trap clamped around his ankle.
