Niragi wasnt a romantic. Not in the socially acceptable way. He didnt have the patience to wait for someone to get attached, or to like him back. It was either hookups or nothing, because how can someone stay with him? A psychopath like him? A trigger-happy maniac, like him? Who would want a person as vile as he is?
He yearned for affection and love, when he was younger. Just someone to show interest. He would be obsessed within the same day. Now he didnt really care. The Borderlands gave him his confidence. His free will. The Borderlands were basically lawless, he could do what he wanted. Thriving on newfound addictions; greed, lust and bloodlust.
He was the omen of negative energy. So how did he find himself next to such a gentle, kind soul? She wasnt a hookup. She had her own self respect, and knew better than to be with someone like him, even for a night. She was unlike him. He was crazy. Hyperactive and explosive. A bipolar bomb. She was patient and soft. Gentle and polite. So why was she sitting next to him, on the rooftop of the hotel The Beaches residents, players, all called their home?
He could push her off. He should. Thats what he's been telling himself since the first time. The first time she sat beside him on the rooftop, things almost escalated. The fear in her pretty eyes, her trembling- it usually wouldve turned him on even more. But that time, he lost his appetite. He let her go and told her to just leave him be. Not even a week later, she was beside him in the same scene again. And again, and again, and again- and he lost count. He accepted it.
She was on his radar, and her marker was brighter than anyone elses. Shes been there since day one, with him. From short talks on the roof, to deep talks. Not like he opened up. He was quiet mostly while she voiced her thoughts. Never shutting up, until she got sleepy. At first, he shoved her to get her to leave when she started sounding tired. But recently he had started walking back to the hotel rooms with her. Only when he was in a good mood to walk her back.
Staring out at the empty city across the shore, he initiated the conversation this time. Quietly. "I like you, and I hate you." He hummed. "You're weird. I dont know how much I like that."
