"The hunt was more successful than I expected."
The difference between hunting and simple torture was huge. If people were people to everyone, then to Jacob and his people, people were just meat. He had one goal - to cleanse this world of filth.
"You left me no choice at all. And why did you have to run?,»
Jacob grabbed her chin, trying to look into the girl's eyes as deeply as possible.
"You are to blame and you bear the burden for it."
Jacob looked into her green eyes, looking for at least some remorse in them. But, there was nothing there. Only pain and anger. Anger.
The man grinned, tilting his head to the side. Joseph ordered him to keep the girl in check, away from civilization. At least a couple of months. But the catch was that this woman ran away every time and it bothered my Father.
Jacob sighed, removing his fingers from her chin and moving them to her knee. He grabbed the edges of the bandage on her legs with both hands, pulling the gauze tighter, which caused milady to growl slightly.
"The world is weak, because weak people like you try to make heroes of themselves. This is a mistake," the man's voice was low, but eerily calm and measured. Jacob looked deeper into her eyes, and then, looking around the room, he patted her knee with his palm, getting to his feet.
