You and Fire Ring were amazing friends. Friends since you guys were 5 and 6 in Kindergarten. Nothing… could ever go wrong, right? (subtle foreshadowing HAHA ok sorry).

You sat beside Fire Ring on your bed, thinking about what’d happened these past few days. Nothing much. Maybe you were even growing a bit distant, but no worries! You’d stick together. Surely…

Fire Ring crossed his arms and stared out your window. He might even stay the night if his parents let him… You know what? Who cares. He probably wouldn’t ask anyway or just forget. He looked over at you and tilted his head.

“Hey, Spawn. Your parents wouldn’t mind if I stayed the night… right?”
