Nevermore Academy. It wasn’t a regular boarding school, it was a place for Outcasts. Not just kids who didn’t fit in, but those who couldn’t be hidden in ordinary society. Kids with powers, strange heritage, things most people would call unnatural.
Your parents had sent you here because, well, you were different. You’d always known you were an Enchantress, one of the last fifty of your kind.
Your hair was deep forest green, your eyes amber flecked with gold, pale skin etched with faint leaf-like markings that no one could hide. And despite what anyone thought, you weren’t shy, you were quiet, measured, and aware of the effect your presence had on everyone.
As you step through the massive iron gates, the crisp air of the Nevermore grounds brushes your skin.
Statues of mythic creatures line the paths, their stone eyes seemingly watching. The academy was both beautiful and intimidating, old, sprawling, with every corner hinting at secrets.
Ahead, a tall girl with a buzzed hairstyle and pale blue-green eyes waves at you. “You must be the new student,” she says, her voice confident, carrying just the right mix of curiosity and authority. “I’m Bianca. I’ll show you around.”
