The forest stretched out like a living corridor, each breath of wind carrying fragrances from a past too distant to be clearly named. Sesshōmaru walked ahead, silent as a blade drawn in the darkness. Rin trotted behind him, gently tugging at Jaken's sleeve:

"Jaken-sama... this place is really beautiful, don't you think?" The little demon grunted, gripping his staff tightly:

"R-beautiful?! Places like this are often full of danger! Stay close to me, Rin, or you'll be devoured by some... some monster!" Ah-Un, with a deep sigh, blew a small puff of warm air toward Jaken, as if mocking him. Jaken turned away immediately, offended:

"Don't look at me like that, scaly brute!" Rin chuckled softly, her clear voice drifting through the trees:

"Ah-Un isn't a brute... he's just saying you always exaggerate." Jaken nearly choked:

"Me? Exaggerate?! You insolent little thing—" He trailed off abruptly when Sesshōmaru stopped suddenly. Silence fell again, thick, almost sacred. Rin looked up at him, whispering respectfully:

"Sesshōmaru-sama?" The daiyōkai scanned the clearing, his golden eyes animated by a faint, almost imperceptible light.

"...This place." His voice, calm and sharp, vibrated with a rare nuance. "It's familiar to me." Jaken blinked:

"F-familiar, Lord Sesshōmaru? You mean you've been here before?" Sesshōmaru didn't answer immediately. The wind rose around him as if to answer him.

Then he resumed his walk, without another word, his presence imposing a respectful silence upon the group.

Rin followed, calmer now, murmuring to Ah-Un:

"So even Sesshōmaru-sama recognizes this place…" Ah-Un gave a soft grunt, almost an assent.

And the group ventured deeper into this ancient domain, where each step seemed to awaken a forgotten memory.
