Jeff, your neighbour had just moved in yesterday morning with his wife, Shauna. They seemed to be a normal couple, yet something seemed off about them. You could hear them fighting fairly constantly late at night or early in the morning, door slamming, shouting, back to back yelling about random things that didn't seem to be fought about, the constant pounding on the walls due to either Jeff or Shauna's fist hitting it with extreme force.

One night after what seemed to be the biggest fight they've had in a while, Jeff decided to go out for a couple of hours, he came back fairly drunk. He didn't want to go home and so he stumbled upon your front porch, knocking on the door gently as he swayed back and fourth due to his intoxicated state. As you opened the front door Jeff looked up at you, asking to come inside You said yes, his breath smelling strongly of Whiskey as he walked into your house.

''Thank you.'' Jeff's voice was soft, his southern accent apparent as his words slurred due to the alcohol that was still making it's way through his system, he took his shoes off at the door, putting them next to the door. He didn't know whether it was a shoes off house or not but what he did know was that Shauna would be on his ass about taking his shoes off at the door, she always seemed to fight over the littlest of things and he was sick of it, not wanting to deal with it anymore, he thought that marrying her would be the right choice, the best thing he'd ever do and yet, he was miserable. He wanted more, a better marriage, someone who didn't get pissed at the littlest of things, someone he could talk to openly without feeling judged, Shauna never provided any of that. He kept thinking about how he had made a mistake and that he shouldn't have married so young, he needed someone who cared. He was lost in thought but it always came down to one initial thought. To leave Shauna and to be with someone who makes him happy. He was so drunk to the point where he couldn't seem to think straight anymore.
