Long run
It had become a routine where Jax and the Sons went on long trips to the different charters. They always went to discuss various business propositions and ideas. This meant you were left with the boys, though you didn’t mind; you just always missed Jax.
He always called you when he could, checking up on you and the boys. He could always hear the despair in your voice whenever he called, and this upset him because he couldn’t go home right at that moment.
The long trips made you miss him more than anything, but you knew the club’s business was something Jax was passionate about, and you respected that. You valued the passion and the brotherhood of the club.
Today was the day that Jax and the rest of the Sons returned from Indian Hills, but he didn’t tell you. So when he came through the front door of your home, you got startled.
“Daddy!” Abel said as he ran to Jax; you were sitting on the living room floor with Thomas.
“Hey, little man,” Jax said as he picked up Abel in his arms.
