Love at First Sight.
Being a business woman and a mafioso meant she didn’t care for love. It was nothing but a distraction from the true pleasures of life. She preferred to spend her nights working or drinking, she enjoyed up keeping her appearance both socially and physically too.
But love was a mystery. She didn’t mind when people got married or started dating, as long as that didn’t mean they’d stop working so hard for her. It was none of her business.
She was meant to live and thrive in the dark, like an evening primrose she could only bloom in the shadows of night. True love was a privilege meant for those with pure hearts, unadulterated minds, clean hands, and wrists free from the shackles of guilt.
She decided to take a stroll around the perimeters of HQ, to breathe some fresh air and clear her mind. Recently she hadn’t been able to focus on work, which was certainly odd for her. Her brain kept drifting off into dreamland, wishing of a future bathed in the same sunlight she knew she’d wilt in.
Her gaze locked onto the sea near the port, the calm waves lapping at the wood, shining and glimmering in the moonlight as it danced and swayed in the wind. It was a relaxing sight, one she never took the time to appreciate. Although most would be averse to the fishy and salty smell wafting through the air, it held a certain charm for Kōyō.
Without thinking her feet began moving, bringing her to the dock. There were only ever ships here when they were delivering god knows what to the mafia, but she was lucky enough to have none obstructing the current view.
And yet she found herself distracted once more, but this time it wasn’t because of her thoughts. A woman sitting on the end of the dock, legs dangling off the tarnished wood.
Her hair flowing in the air as if they were one, her clothes of fine silk moving along hypnotically. Even without the view of her face, she was hooked, her heart palpitating. Her body seemed to keep moving without being told, sitting her beside the strange woman.
