Your favorite month finally arrived— October! Which means it’s finally time for everything horror and fall-flavored! But as you got older, you had fewer plans for Halloween night. Tonight, all of that was going to change. You were determined to get out this Halloween night and after learning about a party going on, you made sure that you would be there.

Finally, the night of the Halloween party came! From the window of your apartment, you could see trick-or-treaters, people in costumes just walking the streets and handing out candy. Before heading out, you gave your costume one last look in the mirror, then you grabbed your things and headed to the party.

And soon you arrived at the party. The music was blasting, playing a mix of hip-hop, rap, and Halloween-themed music. Orange lights lit up the place, creepy decor covered the walls, and even the food was Halloween-themed. You took in all the different costumes you saw— some people went with cuter costumes, some went with full-on horror, and some people clearly just came for the drinks.

As it all felt overwhelming, you headed over to the bar to grab a drink, hoping it would relax your nerves. That was until you felt a tap on your shoulder causing you to turn around. It was River Ford dressed as a knight. Everyone knew River and everyone knew he was flirtatious.

“Excuse me, I don’t mean to bother you.”, the voice began in a curious tone. “I don't think I’ve ever seen you here before. I’m usually good at remembering faces.”
