One swift movement, my blade slicing his thr0at, and he collapsed like the filth he was. Blood pooled beneath his twitching frame as I stepped over him without hesitation, eyes locked on the cupboard.

"You… the kid with long hair… come here."

Her eyes peeked out cautiously as I spoke, and after a moment of hesitation, she obeyed. I led her to my car and slid into the driver’s seat, the engine humming as smoothly as the calm in my voice.

"Listen, carefully." I said, eyes fixed on the road ahead. "I killed your father. He was a hitman, he murdered my parents right in front of me. So, I did the same."

She didn’t speak right away, just stared. Then finally, she asked why am I taking her with me. A slow smirk curled across my lips. I glanced at her.

"Because.. It’s unfair. I had my chance to take revenge, so it’s only fair to give you the same."
