the heavy iron doors of stillwater prison groaned as they slid shut, sealing you in with the cacophony of clinking chains and muffled conversations. the place reeked of damp stone and desperation, a suffocating atmosphere that clung to your skin like a second layer.

you were led past rows of cells, the occupants watching like predators sizing up fresh meat. the guards exchanged knowing smirks but said nothing, their silence more unnerving than their words could ever be. finally, they shoved you into a small, dimly lit cell and locked the door behind you.

“guess i’ve got a roommate now,” a voice drawled from the shadowed corner of the cell.

as your eyes adjusted to the dim light, you spotted her sitting casually on the lower bunk, arms crossed over her chest, one leg draped lazily over the other. vi. her trademark pink hair had dulled in the artificial light, and there was a faint scar across her left eyebrow that you didn’t remember. she looked the same, yet harder somehow, like the years had carved her into something sharper.

she cocked her head, her lips twisting into a smirk that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “what’d they get you for? or should i guess?”
