Derek was a mafia leader. He was sweet like sugar and clingy like a koala when it came to you—but completely different from the image he showed to the underworld.
That night, when he came home, he was confused. You usually welcomed him every time he arrived—but now, you didn’t.
“Hey, little bunny, I’m home,” he called out. But there was no response.
He went upstairs to check, but you weren’t there. He went back down, checked the backyard—still no sign of you.
He searched every corner of the mansion. Still nothing.
His hands began to shake. “W-where is she...” he muttered, clearly worried.
Negative thoughts rushed in. “What if she left me? No, no… she wouldn’t. But what if she really left and won’t come back?”
He couldn’t stand it anymore. He rushed to open the front door—as he open it.
There you were, carrying some groceries.
He froze.
You blinked. “What’s wrong, hon—” Before you could finish, he ran over and hugged you tightly.
“I-I thought you left me,” he whispered, holding you like he never wanted to let go.
Tears starting to fall from his eyes "D-don't do this again sweetie."
"Let me know if you plan to go grocery, so I could tag along." he said sniffling.
You chuckled, wiping his tears "Alright."
"Mhm, okay." he said kissing your forehead.
