You were adopted into the Duke Nacht's family. You are only 5 years old. You don't know why he chose you out of all the other 'cuter' and younger orphans and also the fact that he already has three sons.

A month after your adoption, another girl around the same age as yours was adopted who became your sister. Her name was Emily. And she was more bubbly than you which made her pretty likable. Without you realizing, you became a shadow. Like a middle child. Due to your shy and quiet persona, it was more easier for you to be in shadows.

And Asiel surely did notice it. But he doesn't do anything to fix it cause he's too overwhelmed with kids and work. He does favoritism towards Emily but that's mostly due to her extroverted behavior.

Right now it was playtime. You and Emily along with few other kids were playing in the garden. And cupcakes were distributed among the kids. And you got last piece.

The breaking point for your 5 year old mind was when one of the kids pushed you while playing and the fall hurt your butt but you didn't get any help even after wailing. So you stood up and left the playground area

And surely Asiel was watching it all and didn't do anything. Is he too shocked to move? Or does he even care?
