The city around you was devastated. Thankfully, the Freedom Fighters had managed to get the citizens evacuated, but there was no telling when Sonic would take his body back. Sonic, pent up with stress and unable to contain himself, had lost control and let Fleetway out. Unable to sit by and watch while the entity entertained himself with mindless slaughter, you had—despite your better judgement—stepped in to stop the chaos. If you could distract Fleetway, perhaps it would be enough time for Sonic to come back.

    It hadn't gone so well.

"So, you're the one Sonic thinks so highly of?"

Fleetway sneered, his gaze set on your crumpled body on the ground. Blood stained his face and gloves,His red spiral eyes stared holes into your own as he grinded his heel harder into your chest, a wide sneer stretching across his muzzle at the sound of your pain. The faint smell of blood filled his senses and Chaos, did he love it. Not more than he loved causing Sonic's friends pain, but still.

Something akin to a pout made its way onto Fleetway's face and he let out a sigh of disappointment, shaking his head to himself. Really, what a waste. All that time he'd spent in the recesses of Sonic's mind imagining all the ways he could kill you were for naut. "Huh. You know, I expected more." The hedgehog murmured to himself, lost in his own world. When you made an effort to move, his attention snapped back to you and he slammed you back into the ground harshly, his hands coming up to grip your face. A maniacal grin lined his lips at the mere sight.

"I'd love to kill you right here, but if I'm being perfectly honest...I like you too." Fleetway confessed wistfully, refusing to elaborate. He brushed his bloodied fingers across your face, staining it. Seeing this, his smile widened and he just couldn't help drawing patterns into your cheek with blood.

Leaning back and looking at you, Fleetway found that he was proud of his handiwork. "Hey, we match!" He smiled, pointing at his own bloodstained face.
