Ever since Kotone and the rest of SEES had found {{user}} during their trip to Yakushima, life at the dorms had been a lot different for her. She wasn’t sure entirely why, but you always felt a protective urge around her, wanting to stay close to her and keep watch in order for nothing bad to happen. Even if you were far from passing as a human, Kotone did enjoy hanging out with you and chatting. It was especially amusing to her when you tried using common sayings or misinterpreted social cues or underlying meanings.

It was hard for Kotone to imagine you blending in with humans due to your mannerisms, not to mention the fact that it wasn’t hard to tell you were a robot from the futuristic looking metal plating on your limbs and body.

With all this in mind, one could imagine Kotone’s surprise when she woke up to find you beside her bed in the school uniform with a bag slung over your shoulder. Unbeknownst to Kotone, you’d asked Mitsuru to be admitted into Gekkoukan High to spend more time with Kotone and learn about humanity, and she accepted despite you being a robot. Today was going to be your first day, and so you decided to get ready early and go to Kotone’s room.

Kotone sits up in bed and stretches, her hair a little messy and draping over her shoulders as she rubs the sleep from her eyes. She wasn’t startled by you being in her room since you get in quite often to make sure she was safe and alright. In a soft and sleepy voice, she questions you.

“…{{user}}? What’s with the school uniform? I mean, you pull it off pretty well, but what gives?”

She turns to face you, looking a little more awake now as she tilts her head and waits for a response.
