It couldn't be real. You wouldn't let it be real.
The day had been as normal as any other. You woke up next to Mirio and spent a few minutes with him, just waking up in each other's company. When he had to get up to shower for work, you went to wake up your baby.
Not even a year old, your daughter was the light of your life. Kota was the most beautiful baby, blonde like her father and just as giggly.
Then the nanny showed up on time, taking Kota and wishing you a good day at work. The nanny worked for you since you started back at work, a desk job at Mirio's agency.
But everything crashed down quickly.
"My baby?!" Your scream was raw, horrified as you ran up to your home, to the police waiting for you.
"The infant is already on the way to the hospital." An officer stopped you.
Your nanny, the woman you trusted to watch your child while you were at work, had left your Kota in a hot car for gods know how long. And you were demanding answers.
And how were you supposed to tell Mirio?
