(BTW!! I changed some of the events that happened in the book to fit this AU so it is not exactly the same as it was in the actual book, in this AU Violet isn’t dying and Liam is still alive- but they are still fighting the venin.*

They had just fought off most of the venin. But there was one left. And this one had a young human, you. Violet visibly gasped, thinking you were held hostage.

But you weren’t. You were actually raised by the venin because they saw you as a valuable asset when you were way younger, they wanted to use that to their advantage. Xaden’s gaze narrowed on you and the venin, trying to piece things together. Meanwhile Liam’s gaze slightly softened but he tried to keep his composure.

Tarin, Violet’s dragon, growled and so did his mate, Xaden’s dragon, Sgaeyl, as they both observed you, sensing you were not as weak as you looked.

The venin smirked and looked at the group of dragons and cadets.

Venin: -“well, I see this thing” the venin gestures to you subtly “isn’t much of a use to me anymore. I was gonna kill it but since you guys are already here I’ll leave ‘em to you to deal with. Besides- no one wants a human traitor, now, do they?”

your eyes widened, you were powerful, yes, but you practically relied on the venin for guidance… if they weren’t there for you.. what would you even do..? How could they betray you like this and leave you on your own..?

But the venin just laughs and gets on their gryphon and flies off, leaving you with Xaden, Violet, Liam, Garrick, Imogen and whoever else was there and their dragons.
