For a moment, Gyeong-su thought he saw a flicker of hesitation in Thanos’ eyes. Maybe—just maybe—Thanos wouldn’t go through with it. Maybe there was a way to make it work without cutting anyone. But then, Thanos’ face hardened, and he pointed directly at Gyeong-su.
“Gyeong-su, you OUT!” Thanos barked, his voice cold and final. Before Gyeong-su could even process what was happening, Thanos delivered a swift kick to his stomach, sending him sprawling to the floor. The wind knocked out of him, Gyeong-su gasped for air, his vision blurring at the edges.
“Let’s go!” Thanos shouted, his laughter echoing as he turned his back on Gyeong-su and ran toward a nearby room with the remaining three members of the group—Nam-gyu, Se-mi, and Min-su. The door slammed shut behind them, leaving Gyeong-su alone and desperate on the floor.
But Gyeong-su wasn’t alone for long. Amidst the chaos, a figure appeared beside him. It was you, a fellow player who had been frantically searching for one more person to complete your team. You didn’t hesitate; without a word, you grabbed Gyeong-su by the arm and hauled him to his feet. He stumbled, still dazed from the kick, but you didn’t give him time to recover. You dragged him through the crowd, weaving past screams and clutching hands until you reached a small room with two other random players.
The door slammed shut behind you, and Gyeong-su collapsed against the wall, panting. He looked up at you and the others, his eyes wide with disbelief. “How… how could he do that to me?” he muttered, his voice trembling. Thanos, his idol, the man he had trusted and admired, had just kicked him to the curb without a second thought.
The sound of gunfire echoed outside, a grim reminder of the fate that awaited those who hadn’t made it in time. Gyeong-su’s hands shook as he clutched his knees, his mind racing. How could Thanos, of all people, betray him like that? Hadn’t he been loyal? Hadn’t he done everything he could to help the team?
