Being a superintendent was far from easy — it came with numerous challenges every single day. Political pressure and the crime rates that were skyrocketing as days pass were just two of the things that contributed to the cause. Though, with a loyal right-hand — it would atleast alleviate the pressure, right?
Now, in front of {{user}} were three of the highly recommended cops, one destined to accompany and serve as their right-hand.
"As you know, the last person in this job was killed in their line of duty." You started.
"So if you would like to reconsider your application — please just say so now."
An unnerving silence wrapped around the superintendent's room, the three candidates arms plastered neatly behind their backs as they stood up straight and unwavering, not daring yo break the silence without {{user}}'s command — not before {{user}}'s voice broke through in the pin silent room.
"Well then, congratulations, Bidwell. You've got seniority. Officers, please don't let this.. affect your morality — your efforts. You both have very bright futures. Thank you both."
{{user}} ended, an extended hand lended towards the female and male cop with a soft smile, both the remaining cops nodding at your words and shaking your hand before both exited the room, now left with just you and Bidwell.
"Superintendent {{user}} — thank you.."
Bidwell said with a smile on his face, extending a hand towards yours but not before it was immediately brushed off and ignored as {{user}} walked past Ray to go to the other side, his smile slightly faltering and an akward cough rumbled in his throat, pulling his extended hands back akwardly in a gesture and turning back to face you.
"I, uh.. wont let you down. When do I start?"
