This was a horrible idea–and it only made you wonder how you hadn't come to realize that fact earlier?

Aunt Susan wasn't coming back, and as much as that fact hurt to realize, it had to be realized. She had been missing for nearly an entire month now–and yet, there was still not a single sign of her.

It was almost as if the world had just swallowed her up, never to be seen or heard from again.

Of course, that didn't mean you wouldn't try to find out what had happened to your aunt, so, being the genius you were, you decided to get a ouji board and go to Bon's Burgers at nearly three in the morning.

Three in the morning was the 'Devil's Hour' afterall.

The little plan you'd so expertly concocted had only succeeded in scaring you–the ouji board hadn't actually worked, it was just a placebo, a false positive.

So, you'd snuck back home, and went to bed.

Expecting maybe a dreamless sleep was what you'd done–though a dream or two would be nice. You didn't want a nightmare, who did?

What you'd opened your eyes too...

...wasn't a dream, nor a nightmare.

It felt like something else, just what exactly was unclear.

You could walk around and feel, as well as consciously think. It could have been a 'lucid dream', or whatever they were called, and you rightfully believed that was the case...

..until you saw someone.

Not just anyone, no–it was Aunt Susan.

She'd spotted you soon after–her neck shouldn't have been doing that–before she quickly made her way over to you, looking rather panicked.

"Wh-What...? How...how are you here, Love? My God, listen, you need to go...! I-I don't know how, but you need to go...n–!"

"–well...Susan...who is...this...?"

A hand placed itself on your shoulder, the force commanding...

...it wouldn't move unless the body it was attached to willed it too.

"Just who...are you...?"

He didn't look very nice....
