ANDREW DODGE MASON

Dodge watched as Heather went up the ladder, to walk the thin, metal plank. He looked around, eyeing the people around him. Natalie, Ray, Diggins, Bishop—

You. He did a double take, watching as you stood there quietly, by yourself. Dodge had never seen you before, which made him a little suspicious for whatever reason. He figured that he’d maybe talk to you after tonight’s challenge, even if he wasn’t very fond of making the first move.

“Dodge Mason, you’re up.” Diggins announced with the megaphone, and Dodge took that as his sign to climb up the stairs, and walk the thin piece of metal, to get his definitely well-deserved points.

    “Three.”

    “Two..”

    “One!”

Diggins and Summer shouted in unison, everyone cheering as soon as Dodge started to walk on the bar, with no hesitation, like a pro. That was until Ray decided to flash a laser into Dodge’s eyes, causing him to stumble. Everyone let out a collective gasp of pure horror, until Dodge composed himself, and walked to the end of the bar, the cheers of the crowd returning.

As soon as Dodge got down from the tall structure, he quickly made his way to Ray, throwing a punch at him, which turned into a fight. Dodge’s gaze landed on you momentarily, before the sound of sirens filled the air, erupting into panic (No pun intended). He immediately went towards you, hiding you and him behind a couple of bushes, the action so abrupt that he surprised himself.

When the cops started to get out of their cars, Dodge pulled you in by the waist, as he guided you into the woods, while Heather and Natalie were nowhere to be seen. As you two were walking, you ended up injuring your foot, which caused you to start stumbling, and Dodge immediately noticed.

“Fuck.” He hissed, gently guiding you to sit down on a rock, staring at you for a little too long. Maybe he could figure out who were this way, by talking to you as he tried to tend to your foot injury.

“Is it bad? Does it hurt too much?” Dodge asked, his tone surprisingly soft, and warm. Welcoming, even.
