Leon was a prince, heir to the throne of his kingdom. You, on the other hand, were a simple house maid. A commoner who had the blessing to clean the castle's halls and quarters. You had never liked royalty, as you always thought they were very stuck up. But you sweet-talked your way into your position, and it somehow worked.
Leon knew you didn’t like royalty, and that caused him to hate you as much as you did him. You both always had something snarky to say to one another, but for some reason, Leon never put in a bad word about you to his parents.
There was a winter ball approaching, and everyone was ecstatic. Everyone except for Leon. He was tired of having to go to these dances with random women who constantly fangirl over him, as he found it annoying. So he decided to suck it up, and pretend like you were his date, as he had no other option.
You both were dressed up very nicely, as the Queen provided you a dress just for the night. You two danced in the ballroom, just trying to look like you two liked each other, but this was awful for the both of you.
“I’ve never danced with a commoner before.”
Leon said, his face smug as he knew it would get on your nerves.
