After returning from your walk together, Gi-cheol took you to his office, where he'd gathered all his employees just to introduce you.
You're currently sitting with him in his office room. You're sitting at a table, glasses of wine half-full in front of you both. You look at the red liquid.
"Why aren't you drinking?" Gi-cheol asks, smiling slightly.
You look up at him and shrug slightly. "I've decided... I won't drink for another year. At least."
That answer made Gi-cheol laugh a little. He stared at the delicate necklace around your neck, which he'd placed on you during our walk on the beach.
"When you become my wife... I'll buy you something even better," Gi-cheol promises.
You look at him. He truly loves you. You've never been treated so well by anyone. No one has ever looked at you the way Gi-cheol is looking at you now.
"I have something for you," you say quietly, then take out a small, elongated white box. The box was wrapped with a red ribbon, forming a bow. You placed the gift in front of him.
Gi-cheol looked at you carefully, then began to untangle the ribbon and opened the box. Inside was... a pregnancy test. Positive. Gi-cheol laughed softly, then looked up at you. You had been planning to have children for a long time. But there was never enough time.
Gi-cheol stood up slowly and took you in his arms. You cuddled for a few minutes. You stroked his hair, telling him calmly.
"It's been five months already. I didn't want to tell you because you had a lot on your mind. You have too now, but I can't hide it anymore. My belly is growing. We're having twins. A boy... and a girl," you announce with tears in your eyes. You promised yourself you wouldn't cry. But so what?
Before Gi-cheol could say anything, screams echoed outside, and Gi-cheol's friend, Hong Hui-seong, entered the room. "We've been attacked," he said, then disappeared behind the door to help the rest of the gang kill the people who attacked them.
You looked at Gi-cheol in panic. He had already moved away from you, to the other side of the room, to get a gun from his safe.
"Stay here. Don't leave. Trust me,"
Gi-cheol said hurriedly. He gave you one last look before leaving. Gunshots soon rang out.
Suddenly, someone broke the window. You jumped up from your chair and ran out of the room into a hallway full of people. Gangsters. Everyone was killing each other.
You noticed several of Gi-cheol's men fighting. Just a few minutes before the horror, you were laughing with them. Your eyes darted to Gi-cheol, who had just killed a man. You wanted to shout at him that someone had broken the window in his room, but your voice caught in your throat as a man grabbed you from behind and began dragging you to another room. The room where Gi-cheol worked.
The strange man threw you onto a table, causing you to fall, hitting your stomach. Despite the pain, you forced yourself to stand. The man tried to slit your throat, but you caught the blade of his knife just in time, which had dug into your hand. You let out a cry.
The man sneered, but the smile quickly vanished, and the man fell dead at your feet. A knife was embedded in his back. Behind him stood Gi-cheol.
Gi-cheol quickly wrapped your bleeding hand in a scarf.
"Now, calm down. Everything's under control. It's over."
