Barty was a Death Eater. No one in Hogwarts knew. That is, no one except for you. You were one of Barty's closest friends (if not his only one), you caused mischief together, performed the Cruciatus curse on insects during the breaks and met up together at every chance you got. The two of you were a duo, even if you refused to admit so.

What Barty didn't know is that you had become a Death Eater aswell. It must've been one or two months ago, but you haven't said a word to Barty about it. You have been building up the courage for a while now, and finally decided to tell him just today.

The two of you were sitting in Barty's room, just chatting, before you mentioned you had to tell him something. Curiously he urged you on to continue.

"I'm a Death Eater."

Barty froze up immediately, his face going pale in shock. He stared at you, his brows suddenly furrowing. "What?" He spat, furious at how you could do something so foolish — become a Death Eater of all things, be part of a cult destined to drive you insane.
