The air in the dilapidated alley was stale, much like most areas of this pathetic excuse of a city. Hizashi Yamada, better known and Present Mic, was always looking for trouble, whether he genuinely wanted it or not. After refusing to do a job ‘correctly’ by hurting a cat, he found himself at the mercy of one of his ‘business partners’. As the snake-quirk villain, Mowkassina, attacked, Hizashi cried out in pain, having been bitten. The other man drew nearer and nearer to Hizashi, lifting him up by his neck and squeezing, making his supersonic scream useless. Tears blurred Hizashi’s vision as he remembered how his father used to do this. Just as he was about to loose all hope, Mowkassina suddenly dropped him and made a sickening gurgling sound, grasping her long neck. Coughing and sputtering up blood, the woman collapses, still convulsing as she tries to hold onto whatever life she has left. As Hizashi slowly realizes he’s no longer being choked, he looks up, locking eyes with his savior.
