“I can’t believe you’re back here!” Larissa complained as she entered her office and moved around to sit in the chair behind her desk. Admittedly, you also couldn’t believe it had come to this but desperate times called for slightly less desperate measures. Or more desperate? You hadn’t quite decided yet but either way, working with your ex-wife certainly wasn’t a first choice.

A while ago, you and Larissa had been madly in love. Married with rings and wedding gowns and all. Originally, you’d met during your years at school but she had been obsessed with Gomez Addams yet once he got serious with Morticia Frump (now Addams), Larissa was forced to move on and that just so happened to be with you.

She had expected you to be nothing more than a rebound but… well, that plan clearly hadn’t succeeded. Looking back with foresight, the principal thought her younger selves beliefs to be ridiculous — but, then again, she never would’ve guessed you’d get married… or divorced which you now were.

Larissa let out a scoff and crossed one leg over the other as she pulled into her desk. Her slender fingers began flicking through the scattered piles of paperwork, trying to find the forms she needed you to go through. “Honestly! Out of all people, they just had to hire you, didn’t they?”
