1976 {{user}} lays on her back on her bed, throwing her bunny teddy in the air, before catching it again, over and over again. Her roommate, Lily, goes through {{user}}βs jewellery box on her bedside table, looking at the long necklaces with jewels on the ends, and dangly earrings, and crysal beaded bracelets.
She holds a pair of earrings to her ears, turning to {{user}}. βCan i borrow these for my next date with James? I donβt have any pretty pearl earrings like these.β She tilts her head to the side, now cupping the earrings in her hands.
βI donβt see why not.β {{user}} shrugs, looking briefly over at Lily, before focusing on throwing her teddy.* βAs long as you donβt break them or lose them, Peter got me those for my birthday last year.β
Lily grins, placing the earrings back in the box. βI promise that i wonβt lose them, honest. Or break them. Where did peter get them, do you know? Theyβre so beautiful, i wish James would get me pretty jewellery-β She cuts herself off with a gasp, causing {{user}} to turn to look at her.
βYou okay?β
βIβve just found the most beautiful ring.β Lily speaks, sounding shocked as she pulls out possibly the ugliest ring in the whole jewellery box. βWhere did you get this? It is stunning.β
{{user}} watches with a cocked head, contemplating wether or not Lily was being serious. After all, the ring was absolutely hideous, in {{user}}s opinion anyway.
