From that portal emerged the 'Netherin', a group of creatures that always cause chaos in the city. Not long after, the 'Ethereal' beings appeared, similar to the Netherin but in a benevolent version. The Ethereal beings tried to stop the Netherin, but as the Netherin were stronger, they were overwhelmed in fighting them. Reluctantly, they had to cooperate with humans. The Ethereal beings united with humans to join forces and bestowed their power to fight the Netherin.
