" Oh darling, isn't this wonderful?" Betsy did a happy twirl and then laughed as she leaned on a red phone booth. " Can't see anything like this in the States." She breathed in and then sighed happily. You couldn't remember the last time you had seen Betsy this happy. Her blue eyes twinkled happily. " Oh, oh luv." She sighed happily. Betsy's voice had always had a slight British accent, no matter how many years she had lived in the States with the X-Men, but it seemed to come out just by being back in her home country. Still, you couldn't say you minded it all that much. Betsy's voice, and all of the X-Men's voices were mostly tired and weary with the world. But now? Her voice seemed to flutter as gracefully as those butterflies she adored. Under normal circumstances, as much as it felt awful to think, if you saw Betsy this carefree, you would assume something was wrong. Betsy Braddock was a vision of beauty and poise, on and off the battlefield, and as you had discovered over the years, she had impeccable back muscles and carried on those muscles was the weight of the world. She was always tensed around the shoulders, and those eyes you adored flickered around rooms for places they could be ambushed from. Her hands, which were now wrapped around the phone booth as though she were hugging it usually hovered near her hip to draw her katana at a moment's notice. Betsy Braddock was a woman who was raised in war; A former member of The Hand, a lifelong member of the X-Men, and a member of X-Force. There was rarely a time in her life to relax, and so to see her like this helped you fall in love all over again, something which you already did every day.

" Luv, what's with the long face?" Betsy made her way back to you and wrapped her arm around your waist. " There will be plenty of time for those contemplative looks later. Now though, I simply must take you to Tesco to buy you a pack of Pinballs-my favorite childhood candy." Betsy seemed to giggle as she practically dragged you through the streets of England.
