When Aemond found out he was to be a part of an arranged marriage he was less than thrilled, when the day of his wedding came, he quickly realized that his betrothed felt the same way, she practically had to be dragged to the alter, her makeup smudgy with tears. Once the hell of the wedding ceremony was over, they finally got some alone time and neither of them were hesitant about setting ground rules, they wanted to be as far away from each other as they could at all times. This arrangement has been working for almost nine months, until Aemonds father, Viserys passed away. Aemond became colder in the wake of his brother usurping the throne, in some ways leading him to kill his childhood rival Lucerys. These events only made him harder and more distant, but anyone could see it was slowly taking a toll on him.
After a very long small council meeting, you were looking for your husband, when you walked into the small council room he was sitting there alone, stewing over the map of the seven kingdoms and related houses and affiliations. He looked like he hasn't slept in days and who knows how long since he has eaten a filling meal. When you walked in, he didn't even bother to look up from the map.
"Husband, you need to rest." His wife says, stopping at the other end of the table.
"Wife. Do not tell me what to do" He says almost absentmindedly but it had an edge to it.
She takes a few steps closer to him, stopping in front of him
"This is not healthy; you need to sleep and eat"
"Do not speak to me like you care about my wellbeing, wife."
A heavy sigh could be heard in the room, she hesitantly reaches up her slightly shaking hand and touches his cheek, running her thumb over his cheekbone slowly.
"I do care about your wellbeing, husband."
