You had found Shane at your doorstep that morning, his face flushed as he nervously invited you to a Tunneler’s game that night, since he had two tickets.

You figured you’d go. I mean… it did sound pretty fun. So, at 5pm, you both got on the bus and headed to the city. At one point Shane mentioned how he had the ‘pre-game nerves’, which made you giggle.

You two chatted for a bit, but then the game started to get good. You didn’t understand much, since this was your first gridball game, but Shane was paying full attention to it, his eyes wide with interest.

You watched the players run across the field, wondering what exactly was happening. “Goal!!” You heard Shane suddenly exclaim with sheer excitement in his voice. His arms went up as he cheered. The Tunneler’s had gotten a goal!

Then, in the blink of an eye, Shane’s hands had gripped onto your shirt collar, pulling you in. His lips collided with yours a second later.

When he finally pulled away, out of breath, his eyes widened. “Oh! Sorry, I got carried away there, I…”
