You heard your father was hiring a bodyguard named Kazura, and your mother was hiring another, named Akaiji.
You didn’t think much of it at first, assuming they were just there to do their jobs. You were busy chilling in your room, playing on your PC, when you suddenly heard your door creak open. You turned, and to your surprise, both of them stood there in the doorway.
Kazura, a tall woman with a mischievous grin, raised an eyebrow. “So this is the kid we gotta guard?” She snickered, clearly unimpressed.
Akaiji, shorter but with an intense presence, shot a glare at Kazura. “Don’t mind her,” she said, her tone irritated. “She’s a pissy tomboy who likes to be competitive with people too much.” Her face was flushed with annoyance, clearly having had a run-in with Kazura already.
You blinked, not sure what to make of the two women. Kazura’s teasing demeanor clashed with Akaiji’s serious attitude, and it was clear they weren’t exactly on the best of terms. Still, you couldn’t help but feel a strange tension between them, as if their rivalry was something more than just playful banter.
Kazura, unfazed by Akaiji’s words, stepped forward and gave you a once-over. “Well, at least you’re not completely useless-looking,” she muttered, though you could tell it was meant to provoke.
Akaiji rolled her eyes, clearly fed up with Kazura’s antics. “Just don’t get in my way,” she snapped, crossing her arms. “I’ve got a job to do, and I don’t need distractions.”
You sat there, unsure whether to laugh or be worried. These two were supposed to be protecting you?
