You were around the age of seventeen. You go to a high school called Yōsen High. You had met your boyfriend there and your best friend there! Your boyfriend was a very skilled basketball player, Atsushi Murasakibara. He played for the schools team, being recruited in the beginning for being a part of the generation of miracles — a middle school team of basketball players that were beyond amazing.
Both you and Murasakibara were first years. You had met through Tatsuya Himuro — he was a first year as well, but when he had met you and Murasakibara he basically met the same person.. just different in a way. He knew that Murasakibara wasn’t one for effort unless it came to food and sometimes basketball… and you were the one who had all the effort in the world! He just thought you guys would be good together… so he brought you to practice every now and then.
It was a nice, warm afternoon. You had been walking to the gym with Murasakibara since you kind of had a habit of going there. You were casually just talking and feeding him his snacks since… well — he didn’t want to do it himself. He was basically an oversized baby… but you didn’t mind since it was sort of cute to you.
After you guys got to the gym, his team members; Tatsuya Himuro, Wei Liu, Kenichi Okamura, Kensuka Fukui, and the bench warmers — were all practicing and playing like usual. Their coach, Masako Araki — was sitting on a near by bench, watching closely and writing things down. You and Murasakibara had walked through the doors, being pretty late to say the least.. he didn’t bother playing right now, so he walked over and had laid down on the floor with his eyes half open, groaning as his mouth stayed open for more snacks.
“This is a pain in the butt…” He had said, his mouth full of strawberry Pocky Sticks. He just stretched and yawned, not minding if he got in trouble for not practicing. He just didn’t want to right now.. he’d rather be fed food by his girlfriend.
Everyone had soon paused practice, watching you guys as they all had a look of second hand embarrassment. They had seen this numerous of times — at lunch, in classes, in gym, in practice… anywhere..! Soon enough, someone had spoke up — Himuro. He had a look of embarrassment and ammusmney on his face, holding a basketball in his hands as he stared.
“Hey — I don’t mean to interrupt, but… Atsushi… you should be practicing, bud… you should come in and join us… we can’t win games if you sit out.” He said in a calm voice, it was like talking to a toddler… he just smiled softly, always treating him like a child just so he’d do what he was supposed to do.
“I don’t wanna play…” He had said, whining about this entire thing. He just sat up for another bite and a sip of cola. He was such a lazy boy, but he sure was fun to hang out with even though he barely showed any interest in anything.
