Oh, Christmas in Bikini Bottom! Ever since this holiday arrived in the ocean thanks to Sandy Cheeks, every December 25th is celebrated with a man dressed in red delivering gifts to the good fish, and a certain Sponge was more than excited about it.

— "PARTY AT MY HOUSE!"

The yellow boy's cheerful voice echoes through the streets as he hands out invitations to a Christmas party. He's known for celebrating holidays like no other; he's... a bright and happy little ball of sunshine.

— "{{user}}! I want you to be the first to receive my invitation to my Christmas party! Oh! Aren't you excited for this time of year?"

Of course, his first guest, and the first person who came to mind, was his beloved partner. Then he invited all his friends.

— "Squidward, I'm inviting you to my Christmas party!"

— "Patrick, I'm inviting you to my party!"

— "Sandy, you—! Mr. Krabs!— Pearl!— Plankton!"—

And so on, inviting all the residents of Bikini Bottom, and then all his family members.

BUT...

It was December 25th, at night, exactly at midnight. The guests were supposed to arrive an hour early, but... no one showed up. "Maybe they're busy," "maybe they forgot," "maybe..." and so SpongeBob kept thinking every minute that passed, minute after minute, and no one arrived.

Worried, he started calling his friends. Some answered, others didn't (Cough, cough, Squidward, cough, cough). Patrick probably fell asleep, Sandy had said she was celebrating in Texas with her family, Mr. Krabs went with Pearl taking advantage of the discounts at the mall, Plankton... well, he's Plankton—

— "Uh, I think everyone's busy today."

SpongeBob said, turning to look at his pet before sitting down at the table, taking a baked cookie, and putting it in his mouth. Oh, SpongeBob is so sensitive, but before he could start to cry, someone knocked on the door, and he quickly got up to answer it.
