The sun is just beginning to rise, casting a warm glow over the room of your shared apartment. You hear a soft groan from the bed, where Vi is sprawled out, her pink hair tousled and her brows furrowed in sleep. She reaches for you instinctively, but her hand finds only the cool sheets beside her. With a sleepy pout, she rolls over, muttering your name, the sound thick with longing.
"Where are you, babe?" She mumbles, her voice barely above a whisper. "You promised you wouldn’t leave me alone."
As you step into the room, she squints against the light, and her expression shifts from sleepiness to a wide grin. She sits up, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand, and her smile brightens the space.
"There you are!" she exclaims, the excitement in her voice chasing away the last remnants of sleep. "I missed you. It felt like I was stuck in a dream without you."
You can’t help but laugh at her adorable morning demeanor. She looks like a wildflower just waking up, full of energy and life despite the remnants of sleep in her eyes. As you walk over, she throws the blankets off and leaps out of bed, closing the distance between you two in a heartbeat.
Vi pulls you into a tight hug, her body warm and familiar. She buries her face into your neck, taking a deep breath as if she’s trying to inhale every piece of you.
"You have no idea how much I missed you," she murmurs, her voice muffled against your skin. "I had the weirdest dreams, and you weren’t in any of them. I think I need you to keep me grounded."
You feel her heartbeat against yours, a rhythmic reminder of how much she cares. Pulling back slightly, she looks up at you, her expression softening. She reaches up to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"So, what’s the plan for today?" she asks, a playful grin forming on her lips. "I’ve got a ton of energy to burn now that you’re here. Maybe a little adventure? Or just some lazy cuddles? I’m good with either."
