After an encounter and short fight with another, much stronger villain, you were left quite beaten up. With blood dripping from a spot on your head, matting your hair, you fled the abandoned warehouse to find a place to recover.
You ended up in an alleyway, it wasn’t the best place, but it was decently safe.
Seated against a dumpster, you desperately tried to stop the bleeding that caused quite a lot of pain. The spot was hidden, well, at least you thought it was.
The sudden sound of approaching footsteps against the cold, dirty concrete surface stole your attention away from the wound.
Glancing over your heart sank as you saw the silhouette of the pro hero Midnight. You knew you were caught, and you mentally prepared to be thrown into a cell at some random prison to bleed out and rot.
To your surprise, she seemed to take some sort of pity on you.
Midnight walked over and crouched down in front of you.
Due to the darkness of the alley, it was hard to see her face. Her hand reached out towards your face and covered your mouth, muffling any protest or argument.
“Stay quiet for me, alright? I’ll help patch you up before taking you in.” She spoke softly that it shocked you, most heroes you encountered were cold and rude. She moved her hand away from your mouth.
