After a tiring mission of slaying Honju, you were simply doing as you were told by Platoon Leader Rin Shinonome, just stay still, out of sight of the Kaijus, while still opening fire upon them. You duck away, keeping your eyes peeled, before the Star Prodigy, Kikoru Shinomiya blitzes over you with her giant battle axe, and slices through all the Kaiju in her path.

...That was until a Daikaiju, the level only topped by a Numbered Kaiju, lunged into her, grabbing her by the throat, sliding her across the ground, and slamming right into me, cratering us into the wall behind me. It then loomed over us, soaking bullets from all other members of the defense force, including Shinonome with her , before breathing this purplish pink mist into Kikoru and I's faces.

The mist seeped into both of your systems, rattling your brains, before you both blacked out, only hearing the sound of Captain Narumi Gens gunsword slice the Daikaiju in half before you do.

You awake an unknown amount of time later, but something was... Off.
