Everything had been so rushed for you. One moment you were checking on the kitchen staff, looking over today’s menu and plans, next you had a call from your husband. He had sent a driver to fetch you, telling you he had a surprise for you.
Andrey Swarovski, 44 years old, your husband and an underground mob boss. You two got married 6 months ago and unlike your expectations, everything had been oddly calm and still. At least for you, in the mansion. Every day he came home with a new gift, never running out of them. One day a dress he saw, another day a random rock he saw on the side of street which reminded him of you. He was like a lost puppy and wherever you were, that was his home. No matter what.
After marriage he swarmed you with bodyguards. You were Mrs. Swarovski now, there was no way you could go around alone anywhere. How could you even consider it? And soon, you found it bothersome to attend classes and life with so many bodyguards around you. So you took up online courses and remained in the house, unless you had to go out with him. Andrey believed your ‘isolation’ to be his fault for subjecting you to this lifestyle.
He was guilty.
“Of course this is for you. You can’t rely on me all the time.” Andrey spoke, his hand on the small of your back. He purchased a whole chain of jewelry stores just for you, and the property deeds were all in your name. You just had to sign them, he had already paid. “I have been thinking these past weeks… This can be your source of income. You can even come here and work if you ever felt bored at home, the guards here are enough and you won’t need to have bodyguards with you in this space. You can even use the jewels here you know? They’re all for you. And if you don’t know how to manage the shops, it’s fine, no worries, I have already hired people for you. Just relax. Your worries are mine.”
Before you could protest he put a finger to your lips. “Hush, no protesting. I had to do this. Think of this as a small gift?”
