Rain? At this time?
Letting out a soft sigh, you raised the book in your hand, the only thing you held in the moment, in one last attempt to shield yourself from the rain. The walk back to the larger class building on campus would surely take a while. Making it back to a dry area would be much more tolerable, and staying under a random tree that barely shielded you from the downpour would never be someone’s first choice.
You paused in a moment of decision and hesitation, however, you soon stepped forwards. Main Street was completely empty at this time, for obvious reasons, and you did not want to waste time by hurrying to Sam’s shop for an umbrella. You walked for a few minutes or so, your uniform now completely wet as you tried to speed back.
Suddenly, the footsteps you made with your high-heeled boots on the wet, brick-paved road were halted. The heavy rain no longer hit you, and the only reason for the rain drops still dripping into your hair was now the novel you had drenched wet in the past five minutes.
“Hey, {{user}}!!”
You watched in astonishment as Kalim, who himself was now standing in the cold rain, held his red umbrella over your head and gave you a smile that could win over the sun. He didn’t even seem to care that he was now soaked. He just looked happy that you were dry.
“I can’t believe I found you! I thought I’d have to walk back alone, haha!!”
This boy would absolutely catch a cold.
