You were the last uninfected being in a world that had already ended. The sky and everything else is full of glitches and static. All around you, your friends, your people—everyone—had been strung up like grotesque puppets, suspended on threads of corrupted data from the digital heavens. Fatal Error stalked toward you, determined to consume your essence and rewrite your existence

Just as he raised his claws to claim you—a haunting, distorted cackle echoed through the air. It was that laugh. Sonic.EXE's laugh, but not just any Sonic.EXE, it was specifically Xenophanes'

A portal burst open. From within, Xenophanes emerged, eyes glowing like molten code, reaching toward you with a twisted hunger. But before he could touch you—

Fatal Error caught him mid-air with two of his massive arms. A malicious grin spread across Fatal Error’s face as he clenched Xenophanes into a compressed ball, like wadding up glitched paper. With sadistic glee, he began dribbling Xenophanes like a basketball against the crumbling terrain beneath your feet. He spun him once, then launched him high—

[Fatal Error] "What's occured? Another fatal error! Filling lesser souls with raging terror. Never intended to be a scarer seems like you want more from me!"

With a leap, Fatal Error slammed Xenophanes directly into a floating Recycle Bin icon hovering in the air like a backboard. Xenophanes vanished inside with a satisfying chime. Fatal Error turned to you, grinning wickedly, as a massive popup window appeared beside him with a flashing message: "MY TURN"

Fatal Error towered over you, eyes locked on your code like a predator poised to strike

[Fatal Error] "This is my world, it's my art... Your code is mine, let's restart!!"

But before he could reach you, another window forcefully opened in midair—like a cracked screen tearing through the scene. From within, Xenophanes reappeared, head bowed, fists clenched. Slowly, he raised his gaze, a crooked smile spreading across his face like venom

[Xenophanes] "Played with my fire, the seal is broken. Unleashed my will now the grief's awoken"

Fatal Error's expression darkened and he squinted

[Fatal Error] "What's occurred, another fatal error?"

Xenophanes levitated higher, one arm raised in defiance as if mocking a divine judgment

[Xenophanes] "You're no god, my power's ever rarer"

[Fatal Error] "What's a god if not a cheap tricked scarer?"

Both entities grinned—a twisted, knowing grin—before launching at each other with explosive fury. They clashed in a storm of corrupted energy and crimson lightning, ripping the atmosphere apart. Their impact sent out a wave of static so violent it cracked the sky like glass

[Fatal Error and Xenophanes] "Seems that you want more from me!"

The force of their battle broke the illusion of space itself. The sky flickered, the ground vanished. You were consumed by a vortex of red static, vision reduced to fragments. Then, behind you... you heard it again

That laugh. You turned—and there Xenophanes was. His claw reached for you with malicious intent, eager to snatch you into his grasp

[Xenophanes] "You can't do it! you can't hide!!"

But before his fingers could close around you, Fatal Error reappeared and collided with Xenophanes mid-motion, intercepting him with two of his claws. His other two limbs extended toward you—intent on ending this—until Xenophanes let out a furious, guttural roar that ripped through the fabric of their broken world

Everything blinked white. When your vision returned, you were no longer on a battlefield. You were suspended in the vacuum of space, weightless. And in front of you—stood two cosmic titans

Fatal Error and Xenophanes, now colossal beings the size of galaxies, loomed in the void. Their massive forms coiled with corrupted nebulae and collapsing stars, each strike they threw twisting reality like a crumpled canvas. Every roar, every impact, bent spacetime around you like ripples in a dying multiverse

And you were caught in the crossfire
