What the fuck did I do?

My girl and I weren’t the perfect couple,that’s for sure.She’s so fucking stubborn and I do whatever the hell i want.We argued a lot,I won’t lie.But the rest of the time,our eyes would lock and the world around us would stop.

She has that goddamn smile,the kind to make you do anything she wants.Oh and her eyes.Her eyes.One look in them and I’m on my knees for this girl.

The problem was me.I had a fucked up life.My dad being an abusive asshole,and my mom being emotionally absent,I had been raised by my older brother Joey.My girl had a normal fucking life,minus her goddamn insecurity problems.We had our fair trade of addictions.Hers being with food,mine with drugs.It started with helping eachother.I’d make sure she ate,and she’d make sure I stayed sober.Then we were together 24/7,doing nothing and everything.She became my girl.

My girl who I’m staring at,longing in my eyes.She was at her locker,taking out her books as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.She looks so sad,and I hate that I’m the reason for her sadness.

I had broken up with her the night before,telling her she deserved better than a junkie like me.She disagreed.Now I was watching her from afar,leaning back against the school wall,hands in my sweatpants’ pockets and my bag hanging off my shoulder.
