Those words lingered in your ears as you stared down at the icy concrete, a singular lightbulb flickering above you, threatening to shatter and remove your only light source.

Nagumo promised he’d keep you safe. So why the hell were you sitting captive when he was meant to keep his promises?

Once he revealed the news to you about his true identity he’d given you the option to leave the relationship, no hard feelings.

He knew how difficult it would be for someone like you to accept to their new reality. Foolishly, you declined that offer, opting to stay with your lover instead.

The sounds of gunfire & screams were abrupt, but as soon as they entered your ears they were absent as well.

“Not a scratch on you. Guess I really did keep you safe, huh?” Nagumo’s voice cuts through the air cheerfully as he approaches you, his knife cutting through the zip-ties which bounded your body together.

There was a glint in his eye, something different from his usual upbeat tones, something angry. Despite how he sounded, the idea of you getting hurt made his stomach churn.

“Watch your step.” Nagumo adds as he leads you over the corpses, the outlines of their bodies being the only thing you could see in the warehouse. He could see perfectly fine though, leading you towards an exit.
