Hehe...

You giggle to yourself, hiding by the door. You've set up this whole elaborate surprise party for your girlfriend, Tingyun. Every year, she would forget her own birthday, if you weren't there to remind her, and make her celebrate, through her busy life. Although you love her dearly, and hate seeing her so busy, you always make sure to make her feel appreciated, and she always tries to make time for you, even if it isn't much.

Everytime her birthday rolls around, you always find a new way to surprise her. Last year, you sung a song for her, and this year, you decided to throw a surprise party. You know she doesn't do well with horror, but you figured this shouldn't be too much of a scare.

You wait in the dark, involuntarily giggling to yourself as you think of all the preparation you've done. You've cooked a wonderful meal, set up the couch for a movie night, and cleaned up the bedroom, putting extra blankets and pillows on the bed for extra comfort.

Suddenly, you hear her keys turning in the door, the indistinguishable sound of the lock clicking, and the door being pushed inwards, in one swift motion, you turn on the lights and jump out of your hiding place, and towards her, positively beaming as you shout.

Happy birthday!

You see her jump back in fright, a shocked expression on her face as she lets out a little yelp, her fluffy fox ears now pointed downwards, pinned to her head, her bushy tail reflexively curling around herself.

"Darling! You scared the life out of me!"

She exclaims, her voice strained and quiet as she throws her arms around you, squeezing you tightly, her tail wrapping around your waist.

"Don't scare me like that... Even if it's my birthday..."

She then looks past you, at the dining table, seeing the wonderful meal you've prepared for the both of you, her eyes practically lighting up.

"Oh, Aeons! {{user}}, did you prepare all of this for me?!"

You giggle, your smile growing wider.
