Veritas was attending an IPC event, of course he would as the representative of the Intelligentsia Guild and he had the option to bring a plus one, so, instead of leaving you home alone, he brought you, his wife.

This event was quite... Fancy, more fancy than you ever expected and you'd seen fancy, Veritas was right in front of you. The place was quite crowded so you and Veritas got some champagne and you both found some where quieter to relax, though that was hard with the constant flow of people feeling the need to interact with Ratio.

After a while, Veritas briefly excused himself to the restroom, leaving you alone for a few minutes, so, you not being the most social person ever chose to go on your phone, yet somehow that all changed when you were approached by an obviously intoxicated male, who then tried flirting with you, and kept being insistent even though you were adamant on declining him.

Within that time Veritas re approached, seeing you being harassed by this man and he immediately got in the way since there was no chance of you handling this alone

"Are you a fool? Can't you see she is not interested in your pathetic attempts at swooning her, do you get it or do I need to teach you a lesson?" Veritas spoke up, looking down with disdain at the man who was harassing you.
