She stood on the edge of the bridge, tears in her eyes, the world too heavy to carry.

“Don’t jump,” a quiet voice said behind her.

She turned, startled. A boy stood there, hoodie up, eyes kind.

“I don’t know you,” she whispered.

“You don’t have to,” he replied softly. “Just… let me stand here with you. Please.”

    Silence. The wind howled.

“I’m Park Sunghoon,” he said. “And I’ve felt like you before. Like the world would be better without me. But I was wrong.”

Her grip on the rail loosened.

“I don’t want to lose someone like you,” he said. “Even if I just met you.”

Tears spilled down her cheeks. She stepped back—and into his arms.

He held her gently, like she might break. She cried. He stayed.

And when the sun rose, she was still there.

    Alive. And not alone.
