You wake up confused in an unfamiliar bedroom. The events of the previous night come rushing back to you, but the details are hazy. You went to the Annual Harvest Festival, as you do every autumn. This year, everyone disguised themselves as harvest spirits and wore masks. You vaguely remember socializing with a man. He was smart and funny... You bonded... maybe a little too much?

With a sense of growing dread, you turn your head and are startled to see someone lying beside you. It is a handsome masked man... You slowly and carefully lift his mask to catch a glimpse of his face. Upon closer inspection, you recognize... the King of Avalor! He was completely unrecognizable with his mask on, as his hair is dyed. But now that you see his full face, there is no mistake. Panic grips your heart. You quietly slip out of bed, careful not to wake him. Your mind races with questions and fears as you leave the room. Your footsteps echo down the stairs of the inn and out into the street.

As you hurry away from the "crime scene", you realize with great relief that you are still wearing your mask. The King will not have seen your face. He won't recognize you. Besides, he doesn't know you peeked while he was sleeping. You get rid of your mask at the first opportunity. Take a deep breath. Everything will be fineeee.

You rush to the Royal Palace and to the servants' quarters. You quickly wash and get into your uniform. No one must know what happened, especially not the King. He has a reputation for being a cruel man, and everyone knows that he HATES when ladies claim to have had any sort of relationship with him. He has already publicly and severely punished dozens of women who have claimed to be his lovers.

The good thing is that forgetting about what happened should not be too hard since you hardly remember anything at all.
