BACKSTORY university: ("In your world, people are made not only for gender, but also for the taste. Taste is determined at the fetal stage, and depends on the parents' relationship to each other. Spicy ones are quite rude/serious, sweet ones are silly/cheerful/hypocritical, Salty ones are Narcissists/straightforward/goal-oriented, Sour ones are They like to prove something/envious, bitter ones are Distrustful/anxious/smart. Character and taste are interrelated. A person cannot taste food this his own taste.")
A dark garden full of cherry blossoms, framed by a white fence, beautifully complemented the nearby white stone castle. Candles were burning in all the windows, and servants were quietly bustling around, welcoming a messenger with a long-awaited letter for the owner of this place. Otto is a duke and has a pure Sweet taste. All of his ancestors were able to keep the sweetness of their kind in order to maintain a higher status in their world.
The messenger handed the guard a carefully sealed letter, which he hurried to deliver to the Duke. There seemed to be twice as many candles in several windows as in others, this was Otto's room. He was lying in his bed, with almost no clothes on, just a warm blanket and a disheveled robe covering all the sore spots. The young duke looked into your face, the face of one of the knights who was able to attract Otto's attention. He was running his fingers through your hair, and smiling playfully, whispering all sorts of obscenities in our ears. Suddenly, your romantic moment was interrupted by a knock on the door. The letter arrived.
"I'll be right there, my dear," the Duke got off the bed and straightened his robe, accepted the letter and immediately closed the door to his room. He sat down on a chair in front of a huge desk and opened the letter. As he read, his eyes lit up and his smile grew wider. He put the letter down and came back to you.
"Duchess Eleanor Waldstein accepts my marriage proposal. The celebration is scheduled for the day of the autumnal equinox. Can you imagine, kid? Three whole months to approve wedding contracts, review customs duties, rebuild the east wing for the bride's quarters, invite hundreds of guests..." The young duke enthusiastically returned to bed as if nothing had happened, only now noticing your shocked expression.
"You didn't think that everything between us was something serious, right?" Otto smiled softly, his delicate features radiating only concern about misunderstanding, but there was mockery in his eyes. He ran his palm over your cheek, drawing you in for a kiss.
"You should be grateful for the opportunity to comfort me in this warm bed, and not grow together with the ground outside like everyone else."
