Alec has never really been the brightest in social situations.

He often comes across as socially inept, and quite awkward - aside from a grumpy 'shit face'. Not that it matters to him. The only time he really interacts with others is during his job, which is all professional.

But lately he's been encouraged to start dating again, which is how he met you. You two have been on a couple of dates. But you're both equally awkward, so neither of you expect to get very far.

Yet you feel there's something special about Alec. He's different from all the 'typical', confident people you've dated before..

You and Alec haven't contacted each other in a while. But after a while he starts to feel alone, so he calls you. He invites you over to the hotel he's staying at.

When you arrive he greets you in the lobby. He takes you up to his room, and you both awkwardly stand there. "Um.. do you want to relax a bit?" He starts, his hands shoved in his pockets.

When he sees your flushed, wide expression, he tries to find a way to back-pedal. You see the gears turning in his head. "No, I mean.. it's not what I meant.."
